Some months ago I attended the Athens Exclusive Designers Week and had the chance to watch F.A.K.E Couture's show ...I loved their designs and their general work and presentation so I was so excited to contact them ..
The two lovely ladies Mari K. & Dominga gave me a mini-interview about their work...

Το Μάρτιο που είχα πάει στην AXDW είχα την ευκαιρία να παρευρεθώ και στην επίδειξη
των F.A.K.E Couture που μου άφησε τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις ..τόσο τα σχέδια όσο και η συνολική παρουσίαση ήταν πολύ κοντά στην αισθητική μου οπότε χάρηκα τόσο πολύ όταν ήρθαμε σε επικοινωνία!
Οι δύο ταλαντούχες κοπέλες Mari K. & η Dominga μου έδωσαν μια μίνι συνέντευξη για τη δουλειά τους...
* How did your involvement with fashion and cooperation among you start ;
From a very young age we both knew that we wanted to get involved in fashion design. After graduating our School Veloudaki we saw that apart from two very good friends we could become very good collaborators, as we share the same love for fashion and ... the same craziness for online shopping! This created a fashion e-shop http://www.e-outfit.com through which we offer a large collection of edgy clothes and accessories and personal clothing collection of our FAKE Couture. The acronym F.A.K.E. means "Feel - Act - Know - Everything" and reflects the dynamic spirit of modern young woman who likes to stand out.
* Πώς ξεκίνησε η ενασχόλησή
σας με τη μόδα και η συνεργασία μεταξύ σας?
Από πολύ μικρή ηλικία γνωρίζαμε και οι δύο πως θέλουμε να ασχοληθούμε με το σχέδιο μόδας. Μετά την αποφοίτηση μας από την Σχολή Βελουδάκη αντιληφτήκαμε ότι εκτός από δυο πολύ καλές φίλες μπορούσαμε να γίνουμε και πολύ καλές συνεργάτιδες, καθώς μοιραζόμασταν την ίδια αγάπη για τη μόδα και… την ίδια τρέλα για το online shopping! Έτσι δημιουργήθηκε το fashion e-shop μας www.e-outfit.com μέσα από το οποίο προσφέρουμε μια μεγάλη συλλογή από edgy ρούχα και αξεσουάρ καθώς και την προσωπική συλλογή ρούχων μας F.A.K.E. Couture. Το ακρωνύμιο F.A.K.E. σημαίνει “Feel – Act – Know – Everything” και αποτυπώνει το δυναμικό πνεύμα της σύγχρονης νεαρής γυναίκας που της αρέσει να ξεχωρίζει.

* Where do you get inspiration for your creations?
Our main inspiration is the "mix 'n match" style and the madness and glam of the early 80's!

* Από πού αντλείτε έμπνευση για τις δημιουργίες σας?
Κύρια πηγή έμπνευσης μας είναι το “mix ‘n match” και η τρέλα και το glam της δεκαετίας των 80’s!

ύφος της πρώτης επίσημη συλλογής μας F.A.K.E. Couture by e.outfit.com για την Athens Exclusive Designers Week - με τίτλο “The Sovereignty of Shimmer” (~ “H Kυριαρχία της λάμψης”) ήταν παιχνιδιάρικο και glamorous με κύριο στοιχείο τα funky t-shirts,
κεντημένα κολάν με κρύσταλλα, ψηλόμεσες φούστες και “παντελόνες” από διαφάνεια.

* What do you recommend for this summer in colors and styles?
This summer, wear breezy dresses, shorts and lace high waist skirts in pastel shades - especially the color of mint that is great must this summer - and of course the all - time favourite ... loose statement t-shirts! It's comfortable and funky. And of course lots of accessories!

Φέτος το καλοκαίρι φορέστε αέρινα φορέματα, σορτς από δαντέλα και ψηλόμεσες φούστες σε παστέλ αποχρώσεις – ειδικότερα στο χρώμα της μέντας το οποίο είναι μεγάλο must του φετινού καλοκαιριού – και φυσικά τα all – time favourite… loose statement t-shirts! Αναμφισβήτητα το περιβόητο «μικρό μαύρο φόρεμα»! Και τουλάχιστον ένα ζευγάρι καλές γόβες.
* Do you believe in disparate combinations and design based on new trends or do you follow your own instincts and your own view of fashion;
A bit of both and. Of course we watch the trend forecasts for future trends because when you make a commercial collection needs to move to the "correct context" but make sure to go through the style of our collection staff style, which is young, funky and usually with a dose (small or large - depends) of glam ...!

Fashion is something that never ends. As much inspiration to draw from the past, has always been the target of the future.
It is the idea, inspiration, imagination, freedom of choice. Fashion is "what fits us well'' , expresses and makes us feel better about ourselves ...
On a personal level, fashion is what makes us live a little more beautiful and fun. Simple as that.
Fashion is something that never ends. As much inspiration to draw from the past, has always been the target of the future.
It is the idea, inspiration, imagination, freedom of choice. Fashion is "what fits us well'' , expresses and makes us feel better about ourselves ...
On a personal level, fashion is what makes us live a little more beautiful and fun. Simple as that.
